Really pleased we decided to stay and eat at the hotel restaurant tonight, rather than getting something delivered. Good value (ask what is on their daily specials as it’s not on the menu), big food selection and very friendly service. And even in the dark the view across to the Heathrow runway was great!

Aviator has always been our go-to spot for a couple of drinks before heading back home after vacation. We don't order food, so I can not comment here, but the gentleman behind the counter is very nice & definitely good for conversation. Easy spot to just relax before a flight watching the planes land/take off.

Nice restaurant with great view of the runway. Nice large outdoor area. Amazingly no noise from the runway inside. Buffet was good with lots of selections. Pizza for dinner was massive. Lovely staff.

Stopped at Thistle for a night before our flight early the next day, and so we went for food in the Aviator Restaurant. We weren’t disappointed. Food came out piping hot, and service was good albeit a little slow waiting for our mains. Struggled to hear some of the waiters over the noise in the room (music mainly), but this didn’t affect our visit. Topped off by a table next to the window, so we could see the planes taking off while enjoying our meal.

The aviator sports bar and restaurant was good. The courses may have all come at the same time, but the food was okay. After the meal, the sports bar's selection of screens, and the friendly staff, made watching the football easy and enjoyable. Another plus was the terrace with runway views, which offered a change of scenery after dinner.
